A soloist in both the classical and contemporary genres, Sergiy Diyanov brings an intense emotion to his work onstage. He began his study of the ballet at the Kharkov Ballet School and is a graduate of the Kiev State Choreography School.
Sergiy began his professional career in St. Petersburg with the prestigious Eifman Ballet Theatre.Before joining the Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada in 2003, he was a principal dancer with the Ballet Oficial de la Provincia de Cordoba in Argentina. Featured on the Fall 2006-2007 cover of Dance International Magazine in the title role in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, Sergiy’s other roles with Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada include: Count Almaviva in FIGARO, the title role in MERLIN, Blaudelle in LES PORTES TOURNANTES, Salieri in AMADEUS, the Commandant DON JUAN and the title role in KING LEAR. He takes on the role of Florestan in FIDELIO.
